8th Grade - Shoreline Class of 2022

Welcome to end of Middle School!
There are some important decisions, events and tasks to complete in the coming days as your student begins to wrap up their Shoreline experience.  Please keep an eye on the Shoreline Parent Updates, Morning Announcements (your student views in class) and Advisory slides with tasks and information in order to stay up to date.
info Information #3:  Counselors from the high schools will be here at Shoreline on Wednesday, March 2 to present to the students during their PE period.  The Soquel High presentation may be only during one period.  At this meeting, your student should receive printed information about registration, course selection, etc.
The counselors will then return to Shoreline on Tuesday, March 8 during PE to meet with your student about their schedules for next year and answer questions.  You are welcome to attend this brief meeting with your student.
check markTask #3:  Please review the information that your child brings home from the March 2 presentations.  There will be lots of valuable information included and lots of things to talk to your child about.
info Information #2:  Once again, because Harbor, Soquel and Santa Cruz High are all in a different school district - Santa Cruz City Schools - you will need to register your child for high school.  This can be done in person at the high schools or online through Infinite Campus.  Please note that you will need a NEW Infinite Campus login, different from your one here with Live Oak School District, because the hosted website is for the Santa Cruz City Schools District.
check markTask #2:  Register your child for high school.  If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you can view the helpful registration document from Soquel High.  The process that they outline here is the same for all the schools and can be followed step-by-step for any of them.
info Information #1:  Did you know that Harbor, Soquel and Santa Cruz High are all in a different school district?  Did you receive a mailing from Santa Cruz City School (SCCS) District to inform you about the high school that your student is assigned to attend, based on your address?
These are mailed to your address on file with Shoreline in December.  If you did NOT receive one and suspect your address is incorrect, let the Shoreline office know ([email protected]) and please be prepared to provide a new proof of residence to us AND the SCCS office.
If you live outside of the Live Oak School District boundaries, you may need an inter-district transfer into SCCS.
Contact information for SCCS is below and will be a good source of information for you now and in the future.
check markTask #1:  Find out your high school and submit a transfer (if needed/desired)
Type your address into this website and find out what school you are automatically assigned to attend: https://locator.decisioninsite.com/?studyId=234299
If you would like an intradistrict transfer to another SCCS high school, you can complete the form for SCCS.  Applications MUST BE RECEIVED BY FEBRUARY 8 @ 5PM at the SCCS District Office.  The forms are linked below - please read and complete thoroughly!  Copies are also available in the Shoreline office.
