Dear Shoreline Families:
Hello and we hope you are having a great week.
We are grateful to all of our students and families for being flexible this year as we have had to make on-going changes to Shoreline’s schedule in response to the state guidelines. While we are just getting used to our newest bell schedule and return to in-person instruction, we need to begin planning for full reopening in the fall of 2021-2022.
Earlier this month, state leaders announced that schools should plan to conduct full-time, in-person instruction in the fall, in compliance with public health guidelines.
We know that some families will choose not to have their child return in-person and will need to have a distance learning option. The middle school distance learning option for the 2021-2022 school year will be provided through Live Oak School district’s Ocean Alternative’s Online Academy.
In order to build Shoreline’s schedule and assign teachers to classes for our students, we need to know which students are returning to Shoreline in the fall and which are opting to attend Ocean Alternative. Our bell schedule, course offerings and staffing is dependent on this information and the number of students we anticipate on campus. Additionally, space is limited at Ocean Alternative and if you are choosing distance learning you will need to complete their interest form (which you can access online or through the attached Google Form).
Please complete this Google Form to indicate your choice for the 2021-2022 school year by Friday, April 30th.
For families that do not respond, we will assume your student is coming back in-person.

Food Pick Up Today (Friday 4/23) Please stop by Del Mar between 1 - 4 to pick up food for the weekend. All families are welcome and we are happy to be giving out eggs, tortillas, a large cheese pizza, mushrooms, onions, salad, and tangerines.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend.
